Library is considered as the backbone of any civilized society and heart of any academic Institution. An academic ambience prevails at the Central Library, which enables students and the faculty members to sharpen their intellect. The fully automated library is housed in a separate building. It has a spacious reading room and an air conditioned reference section with a seating capacity of about 250 students.
Ideal Institute of Technology, Ghaziabad Library system consists of a central library and 8 departmental libraries which collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the institute. All students, faculty members and employees of the institute are entitled to make use of the library facilities by becoming the members. The library, besides having a huge collection of books on engineering, humanities and management offers library services through its various divisions.
The library uses NETLIB, Software package which is an integrated multi-users library management system that supports all in-house operations of the library. The NETLIB consists of modules on acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serials, article indexing and OPAC. The database of books available in the library is being updated on day to day basis with details of recently acquired books. Records of all the library patterns are being created in the NETLIB package. The NETLIB package has been successfully implemented. Issue and return of the books for students, faculty & staff members through bar-coded ID-Cards and all books are having bar code also. Library generated these bar-codes and electronic ID-Cards through NETLIB software. .

The library subscribed 212 text journals and 297 e-journals. The library has a rich collection of books on Engineering, Applied Science and Technology including Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Environment Science, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Management, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Architectural Science. Library also has a good collection in the areas of Applied Science and Humanities. Presently Library has 12890 titles with 125670 volumes of books. There are 212 leading National and International Journals, 297 e-Journals,28 Magazines, 19 New Papers, 1687 CDs for Books and e-Journals, 1525 Project Reports, 157 Standards, and 1500 e-books for students and staff.
The Library has Circulation Section, Reference Section, General Reading Section, Periodical Section with reading space, Book Bank, Section for Samaja Kalyan Vibhag Books, E-Library, Processing Section, Card Making Section, News Paper Section, Multimedia Section, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) for the benefit of students and to motivate and facilitate them in their learning and research.
The Library spans over a total area of 1100 Sq m. with a seating capacity of 550 students and 435 users per day. It is well equipped with 24×7 internet facility an various reprographic services, e-journals, 20 multimedia computers, printers, CD-Writer etc. The library is fully automated with fully networked computers, NETLIB software, Web OPAC and is also facilitated by WiFi connectivity. The library is also a member of DELNET for students and staff.
The Institute runs a Book Bank intended to assist students, by giving text books to them for the whole academic semester, according to the rules framed for the purpose on nominal payment basis.
A large number of Encyclopedias, Handbooks, Reports, Data Books, Standards, (National & International) are available in the Reference Section of the Library.
The library also has a collection of good Magazines in English and Hindi for leisure reading and other important subjects related to Science and Technology.
Journals being the primary source of information are essential to supplement the research activities and are required regularly; hence, the library has a good collection of Indian and Foreign Journals in various subjects of Science & Technology.
A number of Foreign & Indian journals are being subscribed on-line to facilitate the ongoing research activities & to expand the areas of future research activities.
The facilities like Photocopy, Printing, Scanning, Spiral binding, Lamination etc. are provided to the students on payment within the premises of the Institute.
Various CD-ROMs databases are being subscribed. Apart from these databases, the library also has a good collection of books on CD-ROMs and video recordings.
To keep pace with ongoing technological changes, the library records have been computerized for making it accessible to the faculty & students at their work places which not only saves time but also makes the simultaneous multiple access of information available, which otherwise is not possible in print formats. Well known Library management software namely Netlib is being used for the automation of library services.
The library is the member of Consortium of Indian Digital Library of Engineering and Technology (INDEST) and Developing Library Network (DELNET) and offers various facilities of member Institutions through resource sharing. The Library also subscribes the IEEE-ASPP, IOL, ASME,J-Gate, Elsevier Package etc.
Ideal Institute of Technology is a fine ensemble in terms of the latest Infrastructure as well as equipment made available to students. A conducive learning atmosphere is promoted through the use of fully wi-fi enabled set-up across the campus. This allows learning to move outside the classrooms where students can discuss, learn and grow. It also helps to maintain a wire free campus area and access to secure Internet of 40 MBPS speed to the students as well as the faculty members.
The Computer Dome is ably supported with fully equipped Computer Labs having state-of-the-art resources with highly advanced HP Core2 Duo Computers Systems and the latest software applications on Engg. Management and Architecture. The Computer Labs are fully equipped with advanced LCD Projectors, Laser Printers, 40 MB Internet bandwidth, Intranet facilities and UPS Poser System. Students develop their skills using .NET, MS-SQLSERVER, ORACLE, JAVA, QUALENT, TANNER, MATLAB, AUTOCAD etc. and other internet tools apart from traditional package like C,C++,DOS,MS Office, Solid Works etc.
Professional Communication Lab is software based and well equipped with 63 workstations. Language Lab focuses on language enrichment, grammar and fluency. The Digital Language Lab has ORELL Software which focuses on listening, speaking, reading and writing skills of students to enhance their confidence level and gear them up for global challenges.
Self learning is encouraged through voice recorder, pronunciation techniques, speech of well known personalities, short conversations etc.
Ideal Institute of Technology has four hostels, viz : two hostels (boys and girls) with an capacity of 1500 students. All hostels are housed in the campus and have requisite facilities to provide an environment as good as home. All the facilities ensure a comfortable living and healthy working environment throughout the students stay. There is a huge lush green playground specially developed for the students to take part in the various sports activities and all religious festival celebrations.

The Workshop of the Ideal Institute of Technology is established over an area of 2400 sq.m. representing an industrial environment. They provide the right ambience to students for fine tuning their skills. They run under the capable guidance of experienced workshop superintendents. The Engineering workshop consists of 8 different shops with modern machinery and other infrastructural amenities. The workshop is effectively run by technical staff with suitable qualifications and experience.
Ideal School of Architecture has its separate, fully equipped workshops. Students use the School's fabrications shops in support of studio and course work assignment as well as for independent projects.
The fabrication shop has all facilities for building models, fabricating furniture and sculpting with imported machines and tools. Students undertake intensive exercises in solid modeling and detailing, exposing them to a wide range of tools and procedures. First year students use the fabrications shops to fabricate elements for the building project. There is a workshop for carpentry demonstration and model making in wood and plastic.
Ideal Institute of Technology has a well equipped sports department. The entire Sports Complex is spread in an area of 10 Acres. The Sports Complex has one Multipurpose Hall for Indoor games i.e. Badminton, Table-Tennis, Carom board, Chess, Multi-Gym, Yoga , One cemented Cricket pitches, one ground each for Football, Cricket and one Volleyball ground. one cemented Basketball court, one Lawn Tennis Hard court. Timings for Sports activities are Morning 6.00 A.M. to 8.00 A.M. and Evening 4.00 P.M. to 7.00 P.M. for Colleges students and Staff Members. The Sports Equipments/ kits are issued to the students during tournaments. The Inter-Branch Tournaments are conducted in various games annually i.e. Chess, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Cross-Country Race, Volleyball, Shooting, Cricket, and Annual Athletic Meet. Sports facilities for indoor games are also being created in the Boys and Girls Hostels.
The Institute has separate GUEST HOUSE with all the modern facilities, for boarding and other recreational activities. The Guest House has its own mess to provide good and hygienic food to the visitor. Each room is equipped with a bed, a study table; study chair, almirah and air cooler. The Guest House provides newspapers and various magazines to make them aware of the daily happenings of the world.
Ideal Institute of Technology has in-house cafeteria with adequate seating capacity for students. The cafeteria provides hygienic and nutritious eatables for the Faculty and Students at reasonable prices. The Maggi Corner (Kiosk) near the Hostel provides tempting snacks delicious juices etc. during college hours.
